Batu Pahat is a food haven but not such a good place for caffeine addicts. While everyone seemed to rave about Rengit coffee, it did nothing to satisfy my crave for true Arabica bean. Rengit coffee is just too sourish or acidic for our likings. Then, we passed by this place called “Kelab Kopi”. Surprisingly the once old shop row has turned into place with three hippie shop – one gallery, a western food café and this Kelab Kopi Batu Pahat
Not much choices are on the menu although the wall art seemed to display more. I know the best way to test a coffee is having the hot ones, but the unforgiving weather in Batu Pahat made us went for the cold ones.
See what my hippies means? They even have a 1960s radio on display.
Café Latte is a little lacking. Fortunately I got the hit with the Hazelnut Latte, rather strong bodied and low acidity. The bad news? I was kept awake until 4 morning due to caffeine overload.
NOTE : As on 16 Mar 2017, Kelab Kopi had since relocated to 21, Jalan Flora Utama 1, Taman Flora Utama, 83000 Batu Pahat, Johor.
